The Pencilpics story
Art made to be carried.
Pencilpics started as a sketchbook and a simple bet: original art shouldn't only live behind glass in a gallery — it should live on your phone, your wall, your everyday life.
Today Pencilpics is a small studio making original digital paintings, phone wallpapers, archival prints, and one-of-one commissions for people who want something no one else has. Every piece starts as a drawing and ends up wherever you carry it — a lock screen, a print, a frame on the wall.
That's the whole idea: art you actually live with.
About the artist
Nagibu Semwanga
Kampala-based artist drawing quiet worlds & the characters who wander them.
I'm an illustrator and digital painter working out of Kampala, Uganda, moving between traditional graphite and digital light. My work lives at the seam between memory and invention — imagined cities, wandering characters, and the small quiet moments that hold a whole story. Lately I've been teaching my drawings to move, one frame at a time.
I take on a limited number of commissions each season and sell both originals and archival prints. If a piece speaks to you, reach out — I'd love to know where it lands.
